Will food and drink be available?
Yes, a wide range of South Asian food and drink options will be available for purchase on-site.
Can I bring my own food?
Yes, you may bring your own food. However: No disposable plastic cutlery is permitted. Please use the bins provided to keep the site clean.
Can I bring my own water bottles?
Yes, reusable water bottles are welcome.
Is alcohol allowed?
No. This is a family-friendly event and alcohol is strictly prohibited. All bags will be searched on entry. Any alcohol must be disposed of before entering the site.
Parking
Here are some local car parks. The website: justpark.com provides details of all parking in the area, including prices and distances from the event. The public car park at St Margaret’s Pastures is available to park:

Admission
Due to escalating costs of running such a huge 2 day festival, a nominal fee helps to cover costs.

Tickets are £3 on the door
Family tickets are £10 (2 adults, 2 kids)
Am I allowed to re-enter the festival if I leave?
No. If you leave the site, you will need to purchase a new ticket to re-enter.
Are there any age restrictions for the festival?
No. Leicester Mela Festival is a family-friendly event and open to all ages.
Is there access for wheelchairs and mobility scooters?
Yes, the site is mainly flat, with concrete paths running across the park. Some areas are grassed, which may make movement more challenging in places, so we advise visitors to take extra care. The accessible drop-off point is located on Charter Street only.

Saturday: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Sunday: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Do I need to bring cash or card with me?
Cash and card contactless payments will be accepted by most vendors and box
office.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
The festival is family friendly. No alcohol will be permitted at the festival. Any alcoholwill need to be disposed of before entering.
Will there be searches on entry?
There will be random searches at the gate. All bags will be searched on entrance,this is to ensure everyones safety on the day.
Ticket Prices
Tickets are £3 per event day. Click here to buy your tickets online or purchase them on the gate. £10 family ticket on the day (2 adults, 2 kids) Entry is free for children under 3 years old. Your ticket includes access to all festival areas and the funfair area.
Can I bring my dog to the festival?
Yes, but dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Please ensure your pet is comfortable in large, noisy crowds, as noise and crowds can trigger animals.

Yes. The park has flat areas and concrete paths. Please note: large grassed areas may make mobility more difficult in some places.

Yes. There are standard and accessible toilets available throughout the site.
Will there be medical services on site?
Yes. A first aid station will be available and staffed by trained professionals.
Where can I go if I lose something?
Visit the Lost & Found tent for assistance with misplaced items.
What if I lose a child or need help?
A dedicated Lost Children Point will be located near the main stage and clearly signposted.
Will I be entitled to a ticket refund if there is bad weather?
No refunds will be issued due to bad weather unless the festival is cancelled.
What happens if the festival is cancelled?
In the event of cancellation, ticket holders will be notified by email and issued a full refund.
